We're super excited to kick off our 2025 swim meet season tomorrow (Wednesday June 11th). Here's some info that you may be wondering about, especially if you're new to our team.

If I don't read any further, what's most important I do?

If your swimmer will not be at tomorrow's meet, please go to SwimTopia and verify that your swimmer is not signed up for races. Thank you!

What time to arrive?

Tanoan swimmers (except for pre-team) report to the pool by 650AM for 7AM for warm up. The national anthem plays at 8AM, and after that we will immediately begin the first races (freestyle relays). Pre-teamers will be swimming their race at the halfway point of the meet (sometime around 915), and should report to the pool at 9.

What events are my children swimming?

To see the events your children are signed up for, open your SwimTopia app, and click on tomorrow's meet. Emma and the coaches signed your children up based on discussions with your children, as well as their coaching opinions. If you have any questions, and/or think there may be a mistake, please reach out to Emma.

Can I change the events my children are signed up for?

Yes. We are aiming to lock entries by 2PM today, so please make any changes by then.

How do I see race results?

We use a timing system called 'Time Drops,' which provides real time results via a (free) mobile app called 'Time Drops Live!' You can download/install 'Time Drops Live!' from your phones' app store (Apple or Android). Later this evening I'll send info about how to find tomorrow's meet in Time Drops Live!

What, as a parent, should I be doing during the meet?

The coaches will be working with your children to get them to the blocks (if we have blocks 🤣) in time for their races. In other words, you as a parent can be simply a spectator. If you really want something to do, volunteer to be a timer 

What should my children bring to the meet?
